One of the southern provinces of Iran to the north of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman is the Bushehr which is one of the chief Persian ports and great centers in Persian Gulf. Bushehr, which is known as the main gate of pleateau of Iran, is the connection ring of east and west civilization of ancient world and the door of the Cultural Heritage. Cuneiform inscription of Shotrok Nokhondeh , old buildings and ancient brass materials express the importance and prosperity of the region during the second millennium B.C in Ilams Empire. Lian was the previous name of Bushehr, which has been changed to Ryshehr in the time of Shapour the First. This city was one of the biggest scientific and literary centers. In the sixteen and seventeen century, Ryshehr was one of the important commercial centers in Portuguese maps. Bushehr, the reminder of Ryshehr in the time of Nadir became a military city by Abu-Sheikh Nasser Khan. Merchants of the city under took the main port of trading of Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean. Also the currency of Iran was printed in Boushehr. The region was pioneer in printing press, Airline, Textile industries and engineering firms in the area .The people were the first who become familiar with newspaper and the first high school with the name of Saadat after Dar al Fonoonn was in this city. Bushehr is hot and humid all year round and the city pleasant time to visit is November to March .
